Born in Brooklyn and having grown up in Croton-on-Hudson, Kara's heart belongs to New York, and the magnificent people who call it home.  As a child Kara loved dreaming and she hasn't stopped.  From imaginative play in preschool and early elementary school to playing instruments, baking, traveling and dancing as an adult, artistic expression and has been with her throughout her journey.  


Kara has played the clarinet since the age of eight when she was introduced to it in her public elementary school.  At age twelve she focused her energy into playing the bass clarinet which was the impetus for her future training in music.  Kara has since performed at Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, and Merkin Concert Hall.  She holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Boston Conservatory, an Advanced Certificate in Music Education from Brooklyn College and a Master of Arts in Clarinet Performance from Hunter College. Kara has studied with Pascual Martinez-Forteza of the New York Philharmonic, the late Julie Vaverka, founding member of the Pro Arte Chamber Orchestra, and Craig Nordstrom, Bass Clarinet for the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  Kara has been a Performance Associate at Hunter College, taught students of all ages and is certified in Level II Orff-Shulwerk.  In addition to being a Music Together® Center Director for the last 3 years, she is in her 11th year as a New York City Department of Education elementary school music teacher and Arts Education Liaison, currently teaching in the South Bronx. Kara is currently a candidate for National Board Teacher Certification and is a participant of the Music Educator's Workshop at Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute.

After receiving a post graduate degree in classical music composition, Amar turned her interests to Middle Eastern music and dance. As a company member of the Yousry Sharif Dance Ensemble (Egyptian folkloric and contemporary choreography) directed by her mentor, Yousry Sharif, Amar has performed for special cultural events throughout the US, notably at Brooklyn Museum’s Maharajan al Fan, Detroit Institute of the Arts, and the University of Pennsylvania. For many years, Amar performed regularly as a featured cabaret soloist and house dancer with Arabic bands at Club Ibis; Darvish; and Cedars of Lebanon (NYC). She has been engaged for performances/seminars in France, the Middle East, and Japan. With musical versatility ranging from the traditional to fusion, she also performed with Alabina at the Beacon Theatre and in 2000 was contracted by Clark Art Institute’s Arab Festival (Williamstown, MA) to dance and produce the entertainment for the opening of the nationally touring Orientalist exhibition. From 1990‑98, Amar was Editor‑in‑Chief of Arabesque Magazine (NYC), an international journal on Middle Eastern dance, music, and culture, published by the renowned Ibrahim Farrah and subsequently became associate editor of Habibi Magazine (CA). Amar has taught at New Yorks Sports Clubs, Ballet Hispanico, and Egyptian Academy of Oriental Dance in NYC and established her own school at Ripley Grier Studios in 2005. In 2003, she established her dance troupe Amarain (NYC) to perform her choreographic works in a variety of theatre venues.   Kimberly Walton - Choir Director, Vocal/Piano

Kimberly Walton has been with the faculty of Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing and Visual Arts since 2008.  She teaches vocal music and piano classes to students in grades 6-12.  Under her leadership, the Wadleigh Choir has performed at Carnegie Hall, Symphony Space, the Apollo Theater, the Harlem State Building, the Morgan Library, Colgate Palmolive, the Riverside Church, First Corinthian Baptist Church, the National Chorale Festival, and the Manhattan Borough Arts Festival.  Wadleigh vocal music students have been selected to sing for Senator Bill Perkins, presidential adviser and civil rights lawyer Vernon Jordan, and NYC comptrollers John Liu and Scott Stringer.   The Wadleigh Choir was the recipient of grants from the Grammy Foundation and the Riverside Sharing Fund.  In 2010, the Wadleigh choir put on a fully staged production of Menotti's "Amahl and the Night Visitors." Wadleigh vocal music students are regularly selected to participate in prestigious programs such as Rosie O'Donnell's Broadway Kids, Songs of Solomon Gospel Choir, the NYC All-City Chorus, and the NYC Summer Arts Institute. The vocal music program maintains active partnerships with Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater, New York Festival of Song, the Metropolitan Opera, the National Chorale, and Lincoln Center Jazz.

Hey, I'm Natalio. I am currently an intern at music road. I graduated Fiorello Laguardia high school in 2017. My family is from Argentina. I chose Music Road because I want all kiids to have the opportunity to fall in love with music the way I have.

  Pamela Jones

Pamela Jones made her New York solo recital debut at Merkin Concert Hall.  She has been a soloist at the Spoleto Festival USA 2016 in Charleston, South Carolina, with the NYC Opera Orchestra at Alice Tully Hall, with the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, with the American Symphony Orchestra at the Bard Festival, with the National Chorale at Carnegie Hall, with the Springfield (MA) Symphony Orchestra, the Philadelphia Chamber Choir, the Pioneer Valley Symphony, CONCORA, the Arcadia Players, the Connecticut Opera Alliance, the Opera Company of Brooklyn, Commonwealth Opera (MA), L’Orchestre Philharmonique Sainte Trinité in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, the Berkshire Lyric Opera, Longar Ebony Orchestra, Sing Through Central, Opera Noire of New York, and the American Spiritual Ensemble

In 2011 Ms. Jones completed a recording of Scott Joplin’s opera Treemonisha with Paragon Ragtime Orchestra for New World Records, and when she sang the title role with Trilogy: An Opera Company, the company immediately re-engaged her to sing Spirit McNair in "4" by Trevor Weston. The soprano is a frequent guest lecturer for Explore New York where she sings a program entitled “Arias in My Life”. Her faculty recitals of German Lieder were well received at the Jewish Community Center on the Palisades in 2014 and 2015 where she taught voice and managed the Music Discovery Partnership for the Thurnauer School of Music. Ms. Jones earned her Master’s Degree in Voice Performance from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.

Adam Moses is a performer, author, educator, band owner, videographer and holds a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo/Hoshinsoul. His intermediate drum instructional book, Groove Studies, was published by Hal Leonard corporation in 2016. 


At the ripe old age of three, Adam began playing his father’s drum set and was enrolled in Kindermusic. Classical piano lessons followed at age seven and guitar lessons at thirteen. Growing up in a southern gospel church, Adam began playing drums with the youth choir at age twelve and in garage bands as a teenager. 
In 2009, after playing in many bands spanning genres from bluegrass & country to fusion & funk, Adam created a wedding/corporate band Empty Pocket, that continues to gain popularity in the south east.

​He has over 15 years experience teaching private drum lessons and working with music camps. Adam has a large and ever growing student base. He currently teaches private drum lessons at his studio in Manhattan and also provides on-line lessons.

Mariana is civil engineer originally from Mexico and has also worked as a Montesorri guide.  Besides her love for teaching she believes that music is the greatest medium to understand the principles of math from within.  In her view, musical rhythms and intervals can be expressed with numerical terms but they become meaningful to the spirit and creative soul only once they are felt and lived through a musical experience.   
Mariana fell in love with Music Together back in 2015.  First, as the parent of two Music Together boys, she believed that the music nourished her child's nature and now as a teacher she is looking forward to bringing her love of fun, play, and creativity to each Music Together day.
